Our physical therapists Dr. Alex Blank and Dr. Caitlyn Hauswirth-Varis are both board certified orthopedic specialists and hold one of the most rigorous manual therapy certifications available. Both competed at the highest levels in high school, and continued in their respective sports in college (and beyond!). They have worked with elite athletes from various sports: wrestling, track and field, swimming, water polo, crew, soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee etc.

We can help figure out the root cause and how to adjust training to make sure your kids (or you!) can stay in the pool, or on the court, field, or track.

Treatments before a big competition to help relieve tightness and strain on the body or treatment afterwards for effective recovery. Having been successful youth elite athletes ourselves, we innately understand the demands and dynamics of youth sports and are committed to keeping athletes as healthy as possible so that they can thrive and enjoy their chosen sport. Please call for a booking when your athlete is healthy!

Injury Prevention
With elite youth sports often involving year round training, the risk of overuse injuries is real given repetitive movement. We can explain why specific injuries are so common in your child’s sport, how training volume and muscle imbalances contribute to injury, and how to identify signs of early overload. Most importantly - we can help you and your athlete respond proactively before it becomes a major issue. Figuring out weak spots in strength, coordination, and mobility can vastly reduce injury risk and improve performance!
